About Me

I grew up in Surrey, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong, and after leaving art school - Farnham then London - started work as assistant to the editor of the London-based magazine Signature. That led to writing about travel,  first for What Holiday,  then the tv series Wish You Were Here? and the Telegraph Magazine. After spending five delectable years on the Mail on Sunday's YOU Magazine, I moved to New York and spent the next decade as a contracted feature and profile writer for YOU. Since moving back to London with my husband Graham Boynton and our two daughters, Emma and Lucy, I have written mostly about luxury travel,  spas, and shopping.   Yes, tough beat, but all huge industries employing millions and contributing massively to the global economies.  Media outlets I have  contributed to include Conde Nast Traveller, The Daily Telegraph, Ultratravel, The Times, Newsweek, Daily Mail, Daily Express, HighLife, YOU Magazine, Country & Town House, the American Express magazines Departures and Centurion, and the Abu Dhabi-based The National and its Luxury Magazine.
